Seeds for transformation, roots for the future: Feminist voices for climate justice

Biblioteca, Publicaciones

This book is a collective endeavor by women and sex and gender dissidents defending territories across Latin America and the Caribbean. It emerged from the Climate and Gender Justice Learning Group, convened by FAU LAC, a space for collective creation that centers non-hegemonic voices in climate debates while fostering shared methodologies and narratives.

Through eleven stories, the publication weaves together experiences that show how climate justice is lived and defended in everyday life: from body-territory healing practices in Indigenous and Afro-descendant communities to rural and urban forms of resistance that reimagine care, food sovereignty, and rural-urban alliances.

Rather than theorizing from a distance, this publication speaks from the roots of territories themselves, offering a living and grounded response to the climate crisis and the false solutions that often accompany it. It is an exercise in collective and transformative writing that places life, care, and memory at its center.

It is an invitation to imagine futures where climate justice is also gender justice, healing, and dignity.
